While there are considerations for pregnant women who are expecting, gone are the days of keeping heart rates under 140 bpm, and the concern of lifting something overhead for women with normal pregnancies.

Instead, women are being encouraged to keep moving and training throughout their pregnancies! We now know that adjusting your training to work with your stage of pregnancies leads to quicker recovery and easier birth. In fact, training at some level up until birth means less deconditioning of your sport, and with a proper postpartum return to play program, you'll be back in competition shape in less time.
