Our Mission

The Nourished Athlete helps teens and women return to pain-free play by educating them about holistic approaches to pain management, simple approaches to food and movement that fuel their training and fit into their lifestyles, and then guiding them on how to apply these tools to help reach their goals.

As women, we experience many transitions in our lives. We start with puberty, many of us experience pregnancy and postpartum, and we all eventually end in menopause. During our journey, we often navigate the path alone and possibly pick up bits and pieces about how to approach obstacles along the way. The truth is, that for many of us, we never had anyone actually teach us about the changes occurring in our bodies, how to apply the basics of nutrition and health that we learned in school to our lives, and what to do when we start to hurt. Some of these are taboo subjects and some are just overlooked, but that experience is about to change.

She Moves® is for every woman - from the teen years to our Golden Ages. For everyday movers and the Masters' athletes. For the carb-loving and the carb avoiding. We understand that there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to our health and that most of us prefer more of a choose-your-own-adventure approach to life. We provide education about holistic approaches to pain management and simple solutions to movement, nutrition, wellness, and women's health where you can decide what fits your needs best.

Here you will find support and resources to keep you moving through all transitions we experience in our lives. You'll find programs for your teen daughter to help her understand her body and build a foundation for health from the get-go, and you'll get the support you need to navigate her changes and better understand your own.

Our community branches to hold space for each of these stages, while also coming together to support our greater purpose - to move towards a serving self.

What we all have in common is the desire to reconnect with our true identities, help out daughters avoid the BS messaging and confusion that we incurred, and continue to move and play through all the seasons of our lives.

I am so glad you are here.
